Kuangjie Ni
Hi, my name is Kuangjie Ni and I am running for the Welfare Officer of the Women in Finance Society.
As an active member of WinF Society and a woman pursuing a finance career, I have a deep understanding of the importance of promoting inclusion, empowerment and diversity.
If elected I would aim to:
1. make society a safe, healthy and inclusive environment for all the members
2. ensure that events are tailored to encompass diversity and equity
3. ensure there is more visibility of welfare support by
(1)introducing drop-in hours so everyone can come to me with any campaigning or welfare ideas they want to discuss
(2)creating an anonymous online forum for students to have their say on what welfare support and campaigns they would like to see
(3)organizing workshops focusing on mental health and wellbeing
(4)working with the UCL Wellbeing services to raise awareness of services and support that we can approach
(5)collaborating with other committee members and Welfare Officers from other societies to better facilitate equal opportunities and bring our society closer together
Most of all, I want everyone to feel comfortable in approaching me for any feedback on what they feel needs improving. I want everyone to be able to speak up and not only to be listened to, but also heard. I will do everything I can to help tackle any problems and to direct you to the best support.
Thank you very much!
