Many charities are experiencing difficulty in operations during the pandemic, and many people have been disadvantaged under these circumstances. Volunteering has never been more important when we are in times like this. Therefore, I strive to aid these organisations and support marginalised groups through organising volunteering events. I am passionate about serving the underprivileged in society, and have been actively partaking in related activities. I volunteered at a cancer caring centre by preparing meals and chatting with the patients, participated in a reading scheme for primary school children, and assisted the logistics of multiple food charities. I am also currently co-organising two projects in UCLPASS, to fundraise for those who lack access to food during the pandemic and give online English lessons to children respectively. All these activities have brought me much delight and inspired me wanting to contribute further, I believe my passion and experience can be well utilised by being the Project Management Director.

For the coming year, I propose to organise more online events in helping NGOs that are under pressure caused by COVID-19, such as game events for fundraising and online volunteering. I hope as the PMD I can provide more opportunities for our members to engage in, especially when everyone needs a safety net during this difficult time.
Haroon Nasir
My name is Haroon and I am running to be your Project Management Director.
I have experience volunteering with a variety of charities including Oxfam, the Ahead of Time Academy and the Royal Voluntary Service. These experiences have given me an understanding of how to best manage a project and I would certainly look to implement similar skills if I was elected as the Project Management Director.
