Vietnamese Society: Treasurer

Hello! I’m Quynh Anh, and I would like to nominate myself for the position of Treasurer.
My experiences on the committee of multiple student-run organisations gave me valuable insights into how to manage a society successfully. Meeting the tight deadlines for these organisations while balancing academic commitments, I demonstrated flexibility and good organisation skills. As a Public Relations officer, I developed good communication skills through running marketing campaigns, contacting other organisations to request media support and speaking to potential guest speakers to invite them to events. I was also entrusted with the task of composing and editing formal documents such as sponsorship proposals. In another organisation, I helped to plan and budget for a high-cost event which involved booking high-demand musical artists and a deluxe venue. Furthermore, I am familiar with the running of fundraising events. In my most recent project, my team collected scrap materials and old books donations (contributors received gift items for certain amounts of items donated) and sold them to raise money for charity.
Hopefully, there could be a grand in-person event next year to make up for all the missed opportunities this year. Were I elected Treasurer, I would suggest viable activities and seek sponsorship opportunities to increase funding and thus, fun.
As a Vietnamese, I would be honoured to help build and promote our community at UCL.
