~putting the ✨fun✨ in fundamental human rights~

I’m running to be your Vice President for Events because I have what it takes to ensure that our society's social side is just as dynamic and vibrant as the intellectual side. UCLUNA is about more than just building on our passions for promoting and protecting our human rights – it’s also a community where we can have fun and learn with friends. I would work alongside the society’s President to host a variety of speakers and events that reflect the diverse nature of the modern social and political landscapes, but most importantly, that reflect our own society's diversity. We have people from all over the world, from all walks of life - our society's events should reflect this.

Hopefully by September we’ll finally be able to meet in person and host in-person events – we can go out after training sessions, go on little society trips around London, maybe even have a fancy event towards the end of the year where we all get to dress up. But even if we can’t meet in person, we can continue to host speakers and social events online, working with external individuals and other UCL societies.

As your VP for Events, I would continue to demonstrate excellent time management and communication skills, ensuring that society remains a welcoming and informative environment for everyone.

Hopefully, this little introduction is enough to convince you that I am the right person for this role – see you at hustings :)
