Isabella Ross
As a passionate advocate for drug policy reform and better support for students who use drugs, I have been involved with UCL SSDP Society for several months now. As the current Outreach Officer for the society, I have co-created and supported the events calendar for Term 2, established partnerships for the society, co-led the Just Say Know volunteering programme, and am in the early stages of development of a national campaign urging universities to adopt harm reduction measures in their policy. I believe I would be a great and effective President for Students for Sensible Drug Policy Society for a number of reasons: I have strong experience in leadership and feel comfortable in my capacity to both take on my own responsibilities, and to delegate to others. I am involved with SSDP UK and International and can provide committee and society members with opportunities to get involved at further levels. A passion for the mission of SSDP is at my core, and I work already in a number of ways to support the end of the War on Drugs. I have also worked closely with existing President to better understand the processes, structure, and responsibilities of the role. I hope you'll consider me for the role!
