Emma Larsson
Hiya! I’m Emma, first year at Arts and Sciences, majoring in Neuroscience and minoring in Econ.

Who is the girl trying to steal your money? Well, I’m from Sweden, so basically I was put on skis before I could walk (not even a joke). When I’m not i the slopes you’ll find me in a dance studio, in Regents’ with a football or by my desk crying in latin (Neuroanatomy, no explanation needed). I’m a happy person, ”a bundle of energy” to quote my flatmate. But I’m also responsible, organized and effective.

Why am I running for treasurer? Firstly, because I love snowsports. Secondly, the stealing money thing was a joke, I promise. I’m quite good with money. It’s my minor, and I used manage my books as a consult. I’ve also got marketing experience. I enjoy the responsibility of being treasurer, which I experienced in college. We organized the highlight of the year when we faced our rivals in a Wipeout replica. The preparations included designing, producing and marketing merch, buying materials for tifos, make said tifos, rent speakers and on.

It was a lot of work - but I loved it. I loved the organizing process and I learned a lot. I have loads of ideas how snowsports could be even more fun and inclusive next year, including increasing indoor slope trainings and freestyle sessions. Plus making sure we get merch and a ski trip soon. I’m also planning on including the club in decisions. I’d love to listen to new ideas.

Thank you for reading. With wishes of your confidence.
Sophie McWilliam
Hi, my name is Sophie, and I am a snowboarder, 4th-year medical student, and running to be your treasurer for another year!

It has been a pleasure and privilege to have been on the committee and take part in the astounding hard work all the members have done behind the scenes! I believe that as treasurer again next year, I can help ensure the smooth running of the club after this extra turbulent year.

On top of keeping up with my responsibilities, my aims are:
1. Maintain good relations with the union, our ski-hire facilities, and the ski-trip companies, and continue the barrage of emails to them, as necessary.
2. Allow an effortless transition into next year by supporting the new committee with my friendly, familiar face.
3. Promote inclusivity and get more people involved with the club

For what I lack in snowboarding skills I make up for in enthusiasm and, combined with my experience (not just referencing my old age), I hope to be an even better treasurer than this year!

I sincerely hope you have had a wonderful year with UCL snowsports and hope to see you next year!
Thank you!
(Let me know if you have any questions)
