I’m running for Sponsorships Director because I’m willing, able and ready to face the challenges of tomorrow together with you. Over the course of the past few years, I’ve built up a strong track record of success in securing sponsorships and negotiating deals.

As Under-Secretary-General of the Hwa Chong Conflict Resolution & Inquiry and Director of Logistics of the Singapore Model United Nations, I worked with diverse teams to source for sponsors, draft sponsorship prospectuses and negotiate the best deals for these events. The lessons I’ve learnt from these experiences stand me in good stead to take the UCL Singapore Society into the next lap.

This academic year has been difficult, but we must adapt to the pandemic. Over the course of the next academic year, I hope to prepare our sponsorship programme for the new normal by ramping up outreach to sponsors in the UK, as well as Singapore to ensure that wherever you choose to be when the next academic year starts, you’ll be well served by a network of sponsors that you can benefit from.

I will also reach out to sponsors from top career destinations, like Rajah & Tann, Google, Goldman Sachs and A*STAR, to persuade them to invest in the huge talent pool that is the UCL Singapore Society. I’ll work with the Director of Engagements to run new career events and start new mentorship schemes that are backed by these sponsors to ensure that you’re well prepared for life beyond UCL.

I hope to get your vote.
