Woojin Nam
Hi, my name is Woojin, I'm a first year History, Politics, and Economics student and I'm running to be the SSEES Society's Welfare Officer!

As a student with an unconventional background in changing universities and career paths, I believe that my experiences navigating different institutions and industries have helped me recognise the significant impact student leaders and a like-minded community can make. I hope to be able to build upon what the society has to offer to develop a more welcoming and inclusive environment for everyone.

As a course representative for 1st year HPE students, I have experience listening to student experiences and voicing concerns for my cohort. I hope to be able to apply this to my prospective role, where I can actively act upon feedback to make the society safe and accessible. In addition, with previous experiences working at Juilliard's Office of Student Affairs, I hope to work with the committee to create more socialising opportunities for members to connect and implement long term initiatives to ensure inclusivity.

This past year has been particularly difficult for students and I, like many others, have taken a lot of comfort knowing that I'll be able to meet new friends and connect with like-minded people in the upcoming year. I hope to be able to contribute positively to members' returns to campus as SSEES Society's Welfare Officer!
