Can you imagine a life without socialisation? Of course you can. At a time when our social skills might be rusty from disuse, events could not have a more important standing in RUMS.

For six Covid-free months of first year, I had the privilege of attending events that helped me genuinely feel part of RUMS and as part of this year's RUMS Events Subcommittee, I believe I have dedicated myself to developing the RUMS experience.

However, I understand that distance has made it difficult for everyone to recognise and identify with RUMS and its beloved traditions. I pledge to organise events that promote RUMS as a symbol of community to ensure that all of us feel included, involved and united.

It is difficult to make promises in these uncertain times. However if elected, I will devote myself to:

1. Organising the best possible rebound year
2. Increasing the focus on events catering to the wider RUMS community
3. Increasing our online presence and improving the visibility of events

I will personally maintain open feedback channels as I believe that RUMS is your home and it is only fair that you get to have a say in the events it hosts.
