Emily Bowlt
Hiya, my name is Emmie!
I’d love to take on the role of Welfare Officer because, especially after this year, I want to be a friendly face that can help everyone feel comfortable, included and happy within the rugby team. I’m an approachable person who is unafraid to strike up a conversation- and make you laugh with my awful puns…I try. I aim to be someone who can help welcome new members to the team and be a good pair of ears for anyone who needs someone to talk to, or advice on where to go to talk to someone else. After the pandemic, we all understand the importance of friendship and having breaks from uni work. I hope to be there for anyone who needs extra support, but first and foremost ensure all members feel safe and welcome within the team, by being available for a chat, call or text. This year I’ve attended well-being sessions which I think would help me support you in whatever way I can. I want to help create an atmosphere where everyone can create new friendships and have some laughs whilst enjoying the amazing sport of rugby.

I want to stand because I believe I am a good listener and quite friendly and would like to be there for people. I would like people to feel they can come to me and talk to me, as I would be there to consider their well being.
