Lola Kaeppelin
I think I would be a good fit for the position of Head of Music at Rare FM as I have been actively working on developing my knowledge of the music industry for almost 2 years. I have participated in many networking events around the music business to expand my connections in the music industry and hope to be able to share these links. I have also trained in singing and music in a professional ensemble in Paris for 8 years and have therefore been able to meet a number of people working in music production and radio programming. Apart from that, music is obviously one of my greatest passions. I listen to and am interested in many artists across different genres and time periods, and I am eager to discover many more with other people at Rare FM. For questions, contact me: [email protected]
Alexia Mihaila
My name is Alexia Mihaila and I am an undergraduate Arts & Sciences student running for the Head of Music position!

I am deeply passionate about music, playing the piano, the drums, and the guitar for over 8 years now and listening to diverse genres of music; I enjoy discovering new artists, especially if they are self-made (produce and write their own songs).
I have been working previously with independent artists and rising international record labels (e.g. Daschund Records) in establishing ties between artists and blogs & radio stations therefore I can transfer my experience to increase the exposure of Rare FM!

I plan to:

* Offer a wide range of genres and artists (established, up-and-coming & independent, etc.) in the fortnightly A & B playlists

* Be transparent in the newsletter and encourage UCL artists to send in their demos to offer them advice on how to improve them and/or put their song in our playlists

* Establishing new connections and strengthening the bonds with the pluggers, labels, and artist we already have

* Secure interviews, guest list, and photo passes for gigs for society members and the UnCL team

* Establish a music blog on the Rare FM website for interviews, song reviews, and promoting new music

* Confer a smooth connection between me and other Rare FM members or UCL artists

All in all, I am looking forward to working with the Rare FM team and pouring my heart into making Rare FM a staple radio station in London! :)
