As a current Welfare officer for another society I know what this role entails and I want to make sure that the society is a safe and inclusive space for all it's members. I hope that people can see me as someone they can go to for a friendly chat or even for advice. My main focus would be to look after the collective wellbeing and mental health of the society and also on an individual level . As a current year 2 student who has experienced university both with and without COVID I feel like I am in a position to help guide students and to offer advice, based on personal experience, on all aspects of university life. I am always more than happy to help if I can and I consider myself a compassionate, eager and empathetic person. I am reliable, committed, trustworthy and very organised. If I am elected as Welfare officer I promise to do my best in creating close relationships with members which I know we will very much like especially after a full year of online university. I hope to be able to join the committee and help to keep moving forward with the society and expanding. I hope I am able to represent you all as your Welfare Officer for 2021-22! All the best!
