Hi, I am Seowoo, your previous workshop officer.
As a member who have had an opportunity to work for the photography society as a committee member, I am confident that I am suitable for this role.
Throughout this academic year, I have gained a lot of essential skills a workshop officer should possess, such as time management and communication skills.
On the other hand, however, due to COVID-19, I was unable to achieve all the things I have planned as a workshop officer.
Therefore, if I were to continue this position, I want to work more on organising the workshops that are in everyone’s interest, especially gathering people together to socialise, when we are back on campus.
Furthermore, I would like to share my experience as a previous photo soc member with the new members, where I was able to share the same hobby with people from different fields and gain my photography expertise.
As a person who is passionate about photography, I would really appreciate another opportunity to help out the photography society.
Hey! My name is Lydia, and I’m running to be your Workshop Officer
The reason why I'm running is very simple: photography is my passion, and I hope that more people, regardless of experience or background can join our community to explore this amazing art.
My aims:
- Increase engagement opportunities for all members regardless of experience
- Create activities suiting the needs of the members so that they are just as enriching as they are fun
- Empower you with opportunities to directly hear from current professionals
Having previously held positions such as the Outreach Director, as well as the Inclusion Officer in other societies, I have gained a very good understanding of the responsibilities as a committee member and handling the needs of the society. With your vote, I hope to make valuable contributions with my passion for photography and enthusiasm for the society’s diverse community.
