I've been a very dedicated member of Paksoc for the last two years. I am the treasurer this year & I'm running again as I want to continue improving the experience of all present and future members. I think I am a good fit for the role as I believe I can do a good job at managing the accounts and funding for Paksoc in an efficient and sensible way, in order to meet the expectations of all the members. I received training at the beginning of this year & I understand how everything works such as reimbursements & sponsorship contracts. Even though our experience this year has been very different, I have seen the amount of work that goes into in person events as I attended all Paksoc events in my first year and was the Urdu teacher as well. I have good organisational skills and I work well in a team. I will continue to maintain a strong communication with all committee members to ensure financial transparency. I will increase the support and sponsorship of the society, so more and even better events can be organised, especially after everything we've missed on this year. I have been involved in all the society's activities very actively. I not only fulfilled the responsibilities of a treasurer, I also managed Urdu classes throughout the year & took responsibility for a lot of the media tasks since the beginning (creating trailers, posters, & online tickets etc.). I've worked extremely hard throughout the year & will continue to do so as I'm eager to see the society thrive.
Muhammad Khan
Salam all! I’m Aaman, a first year Pharmacy student and I am running to be Pakistan Society’s Treasurer! Having been an active member of the society - including serving as Sports Officer -I have thoroughly enjoyed participating and organising a few of our ‘Chai and Spill’ events over the past year. I would love to continue and further my involvement at one of London’s biggest cultural societies in 2021/22. As Treasurer for our Pakistani family, I am keen to do the following:

- Make efficient and accountable use of the financial backing from sponsors and membership to fund the new and spectacular events that YOU want to be part of!
- Assist the society and work as a team to prepare, manage and deliver the events that you want to see happening.
- Increase the society’s capacity to network with Pakistani Institutions to secure funding for future collaborations and projects.

Moreover, having been an active member of UCL’s Investment Society, I am confident that I have learnt and accumulated many transferable skills that will help me to be a trustworthy and resourceful Treasurer for the society. Over the past year I’ve managed to hone my communication skills as well as working as part of a team to tackle difficult puzzles and challenges related to trading and microfinance.
All in all, I would love to bring my skills and experience to the role of Treasurer at the society to bring us all a prosperous and exciting 2021/22 year, Inshallah! Thanks for reading!

Salams everyone!! My name is Amaani, I’m a first year biological sciences student. During my time as Charity Officer for Paksoc, I was able to gain an intricate understanding of the handling of funds in terms of acquisition, management, and distribution. Working with numerous societies and organisations broadened my network and helped me gain valuable perspectives that I am eager to couple with my passion to serve you as Treasurer 2021-22.

If elected, I plan to:
- Work with the team to host more collaborations with other societies inside and outside of UCL, as well as national and international bodies to enrich students’ experiences, and empower young Pakistanis.
- Strategically manage PakSoc's treasury to host engaging events online- and even better face to face events to compensate for lost time!
- Work closely with (especially) the charity, welfare, and sports officers to create a diversified set of opportunities for all members.

Thank you for reading this application- I hope you look upon it favourably and would be honoured and humbled to serve as your treasurer (: x
