Charlotte Seare
Hi my name is Charlotte, I am currently a second year studying Classics and I would love to be VP next year. The mains role of the VP is to help out the Pres as much as they need me too with anything and everything. One thing I would really like to do is to get personalised jumpers/sweatshirts for each team, aside from the Akuma ones, as we all know just how important stash is. If I were to be elected as VP, I would make sure I am around during freshers week netball events, to help introduce new members to seniors and just be someone to help ease those first nerves when you come to trials and those frost socials, as I so clearly remember being so worried about not knowing who to speak too, and being so reassured when I realised everyone so so approachable and kind. One of my main jobs would be organising Tour after exams, and I would like to let the club decide together on where they would like Tour to be, as getting a unified decision makes everything so much more enjoyable for everyone.

Things haven’t been normal this year, but I felt like netball was a constant; I always felt connected to the club and the people in it. During my first and second year at UCNC, I loved how integrated the club was and how welcomed I felt. I feel that this legacy needs to be carried on next year when things are back to normal-ish (hopefully), so one of my goals as VP would be to organise the biggest and most integrated tour yet. After missing out on tour two years running, I hope to make the next one memorable and full of fun in the sun.

Having been BUCS secretary this year, a C-award level umpire and a captain of my local team, I am no stranger to lots of admin and communication with other parties. I would be a reliable member of committee, willing to step-in as required in meetings and dealing with queries about kit efficiently. As a captain, I had to deal with sensitive issues and was often a friendly face for my team members to talk to when they needed and hope to be a friendly face for freshers and seniors alike. Also, I hope to bring new ideas for stash e.g. purple scrunchies to complement our kit and UCNC training tops.

Next year we hope to (be able to) bleed purple again and I hope to do that as your VP!
