From when I was 16 I have competed competitively in netball for both satellite and Team Bath- it’s a true passion of mine! I have chosen to run for treasurer because I have a background of financial knowledge and grew up in a household of accountants. Alongside this, I’m aiming to direct more money towards events and tournaments as we can all agree we’ve been deprived from that this year! I shall ensure that you membership fees are tightly controlled and I would like to put out polls at the start of the term to learn more about what both the competitive and social teams need to have fun and succeed in their netball careers! From both my relevant background, passion for netball and also desire to be able to compete again, I believe I am the perfect individual to have the role of treasurer! Can’t wait to compete and play with you all. Thankyou.

Things haven’t been normal this year, but I felt like netball was a constant; I always felt connected to the club and the people in it. During my first and second year at UCNC, I loved how integrated the club was and how welcomed I felt. I hope to carry this legacy on and become a key member of the 2021-22 committee as your Treasurer.

Having been BUCS secretary this year, a C-award level umpire and a captain of my local team, I am no stranger to lots of admin and communication with other parties. I would be a reliable committee member, willing to aid the president in overseeing the running of the club and dealing with any and all admin and financial queries/jobs efficiently. Having had previous experience with admin and dealing with the financial accounts when I was captain, I would be able to transfer these skills onto a larger scale as Treasurer of UCNC. I am confident communicating with others and would be able to use these communication skills when liaising with the SU and outside companies.

If you vote for me as your Treasurer I would hope to look for new sponsorships for the 2021-22 season. Hope to see you all back at Loop and BUCS Wednesdays!

As Treasurer, you could rely on me to ensure the club’s finances are in order, refunds are accurate and events are well sponsored!

Throughout my time at UCNC, I have played netball socially and competitively. This puts me in the best position to make financial decisions that oversee the club and to ensure even spending across the club. Also, as a member of the 5s in my first year, I would be a principal officer from a lower team which is important for making UCNC feel more accessible.

During school I worked as an assistant coach for my local netball club. This involved lots of admin; registering participants, collecting payments and processing kit orders. Thus, I have key skills for handling large sums of money in a professional environment. As Development Officer, I have gained organisational experience in booking and paying for courts for Social Netball. I am aware of the commitment required to be on committee and can guarantee that I will apply for grants, budget forms and reimbursements efficiently. I’m also a sucker for spreadsheets and to-do lists!!

As Treasurer I want to:
- Continue our sponsorship with The Stay Club
- Reach out to new sponsors to provide freebies at events e.g. snacks/drinks at the interclub tournament
- Improve communication with captains so kit bags are always fully stocked
- Use money saved from the last 2 years’ cancelled tours to make the next one even better
- Prioritise funding for coaching, given the lack of training this year
Eve Trainor
Hi everyone, my name is Eve :) I am a second-year biomedical engineering student and I have been a part of UCNC for both of the two years, playing in the 1s. I am applying to be treasurer this year to gain experience behind the scenes of UCNC. I love netball, and being an engineering student, love a bit of maths here and there as well. I believe I would be a good candidate for this role as I have the relevant skills and a strong commitment to the club in all aspects. I’d love to be a member of the UCNC committee and more specifically, in charge of keeping the club on track financially next year. Thanks!
