It's Wednesday: you're playing a netball match with your fave RUMS gals, your shooter scores the winning point and you take a cute team pic. You jump on the tube back to Warren Street and make your way to Mully's. Jugs upon jugs of cider black are waiting for you as you join circle to celebrate your win. Life is good.
As social sec and with covid slowly shrinking, I'd love to get in-person socials back up and running. Whether you fancy a night out at Roxy or a nice meal and chat with other club members, I'll bring it all. My main priority will be getting everyone involved and bringing club members across all teams and year groups together to have the most fun possible. I hope to cater to all your wants and needs, organising a huge range of socials so that there is something for everyone! After such a hard year, I'd absolutely love to be social sec and bring back all the fun that we know RUMS Netball can be and especially can't wait to make tour 2021/22 the best one yet!!

As both a graduate and a current fresher, I have lots of experience of attending and helping to organise socials, both virtual and non-virtual. The zoom socials, run by our lovely current social secretaries, have provided a friendly atmosphere to meet people within the club whom I would otherwise not have had the chance to meet. As a fresher this year, especially with the limited training due to CoVid, it was these weekly socials that made me feel like a member of the club. As social secretary, I hope to continue to provide the same fun, friendly and welcoming environment for all current and future members at socials, which will hopefully be in person next year. In addition to the Wednesday sportnights, I would be keen to organise a range of other events and activities, so that there are socials that appeal to everyone. I am also looking forward to organising a fun and memorable tour for everyone.
