Madison Churcher
I have been a member of RUMS netball for four years - both playing and socially. During my second year, I was elected Welfare Officer for UCL Netball - organising events, creating posts on all of our social media platforms, undertaking inclusivity training and making the effort to get to know all members within the club. I have used social media for promotion over the last couple of years for my small business, UCL Netball, and was also elected to be a QuesMed ambassador. My responsibility for the last role consisted of reaching out to a wider audience and promoting the platform, communicating regularly with the founders and team members, and creating promotion adverts on mainly Facebook and Instagram.
Friends and previous employers would describe me as reliable and hard-working. I am a proactive person, always finding things to do and believe this would would be a great skill to have in RUMS Netball, helping others out if needed. One thing this year has shown me is how essential communication is. Like all of us, online meetings and training have been at the forefront of how we communicate. I have dedicated notebooks to each of my modules, taking notes as we go along.
I am super excited to have rejoined RUMS Netball as a player this year, despite the pandemic. I'm really invested in getting more involved in the club this next year, and would be honoured to hold the position of secretary! You can always find me well equipped with glasses and a notebook of lists in hand!
