Next year will play a huge role in the development of the club post-Covid as everyone eases back into in-person club life. I want to be at the helm of this and create momentum to steer us towards retaining and improving on all we have to offer. Having previously been the club's Welfare Officer and having a large part to play in inclusivity debates and decisions made this year, I have an awareness and drive to ensure that everyone is listened to. I want to make sure that all members are comfortable and happy with the way our club is run. That every single person's opinions and views are reflected in practice, not just in words. After such a draining year for all, I want everyone to be excited to come back to us and play netball again! I have been on committee long enough to know the ins and outs of how we and the union run and believe I am best placed to deliver. I have plenty of experience with the union having co-founded and been Treasurer for another society and as Welfare Officer for us. I have the standing not just in Netball, but throughout RUMS to ensure that our club's voice is heard. For me as a fresher, Netball was a safe space and has remained so throughout my 4 years so far at Medical School so I am absolutely committed to making sure that this continues being the case for you too.

After 3 very active years in the club (even physically, especially in training!), with two of which I spent on the committee in some of the most demanding yet rewarding roles as fixtures sec and training officer I have decided to nominate myself for RUMS Netball Pres. I have thoroughly enjoyed being so actively involved in the club this year despite many obstacles. It’s been an absolute pleasure getting to meet as many of you as possible in all the in-person and online training, socials and encouraging you all to participate in all the crazy UCL Lockdown Challenges which were all a massive success in my eyes! I’ve loved being a part of and watching this club adapt and flourish year on year, even more so during a global pandemic. RUMS Netball as a whole has honestly been a massive highlight of my otherwise bleak year and also my entire time at medical school- you guys really welcomed me in and made it one to not forget. It's been like a second family to me, and by far the best club to be part of (potentially a little biased). I would love to be the one to help lead RUMS Netball slowly back to normality and be its “biggest hype woman” as the new year commences. I would really appreciate your vote! Thank you.
