I was elected captain for 2020, but my role this year has been different than hoped, involving more admin than playing!
As a result I would love to be able to lead the team again next season - but this time play some matches! I can't wait to get some team bonding organised, and seeing you all regularly on the court. I actually miss the many trips to St George's!
I feel the biggest achievement this year has been being selected for bronze S&C UCL high performance program for the first time and I would like to continue this, so we are able to build on the hard work we have put in on this almighty off season!
Side note, I would also love to lead RUMS to another win against GKT in Varsity - but I mean who wouldn't!
Finally and most importantly I can’t wait finally have a chat, hug and throw a ball around with you girls soon.

RUMS Netball has been a huge part of my uni experience, and I would love to have the opportunity to captain such an amazing group of girls. Since first year, I have dedicated myself to this team and being vice-captain the past two seasons has prepared me well for this role, from admin and helping with team selection to stepping up as captain when needed.

My priorities include getting back to a high level of training and regular S&C sessions to ensure that we're ready to smash GKT (again!) at Varsity. I would make sure to prioritise and encourage open and transparent communication, not only within the first team but also as the bridge from our members to the committee. As someone who has received lots of feedback through my netball career, I appreciate how important it is for continual improvement. I would also be keen to make training more efficient and effective, so that every single RUMS netball member feels like they are improving and getting the most out of each session. After a very sad year apart, socials will also take great precedence – the return of team dinners, pub trips, sports nights, Christmas carols…(COVID permitting). We will greatly miss some of our incredible older teammates who are leaving...nevertheless, this opens up an amazing opportunity for new talent, which makes me so excited for a fantastic 2021/22 season.

As the youngest member of the 1s, I know I can dedicate a lot of time and fresh energy into making this season the best yet!
