Johannes Heyl
Having been the Vice-President of this year’s committee, I am applying to be one of the Technology Officers for next year. I was in charge of organising the “AI in Medicine” Series, which sold over 850 tickets and helped bring in high-profile speakers such as Dr. Eric Topol and Dr. Pearse Keane as well as speakers from companies such as Google and Microsoft. I want to build on the success of this series, as we hopefully transition back to in-person events. As Technology Officer, my job will also be to organize series of programming tutorials for our members. With over six years of experience with Python and machine learning in academia as well as industry, I feel I have much to offer in this regard. I will be looking to develop a wide variety of programming learning pathways to cater to all of our members. The content of these series will range from introductory Python to advanced machine learning. I will also be liaising with the Web Officer to ensure that our MedTech Portal remains an invaluable tool for anyone interested in the world of MedTech.
Sohum Sen
Hello everyone! My name is Sohum and I'm finishing my first year in Mathematical Computation. I'm running for technology officer and would love it if you could all take a minute to read my manifesto.
This year, I have been helping with the MedTech website and our AI in medicine series, of which I have hosted a couple of talks! I have gained insight into the inner workings of the society by maintaining regular contact with those in the senior team as well as other teams.

If elected my aims would be to:
Oversee and maintain our digital infrastructure
Ensure that there are more masterclass series so that members can develop their skills in MedTech related areas

Doing what's in the interest of the society and its members is my mandate and that's all that matters. Promising commitment to the post and its responsibilities, I hope to be considered for the role of being technology officer.
