As an individual with a great appreciation for and interest in the potential of entrepreneurship in MedTech, I am keen to take on the responsibility of leading startup bootcamps, networking events, and the UCL MedTech hackathon, as the Enterprise Officer. Engaging students in entrepreneurship and equipping them with the relevant skill set for success in future MedTech ventures is a challenge I would relish taking on.
I interned last summer organising and promoting an online conference spanning 3 days and gained invaluable experience with and insight into the planning and administration of a large-scale event. Heading the conference hosting team helped refine my leadership, teamwork, and communication skills. As a volunteer with STEAM:ED, I have gained, also, experience networking with companies and their associates, and feel well-suited to manage networking events.
As Enterprise Officer of MedTech UCL, I intend to further promote the past success of entrepreneurship-related events, most notably the hackathon, ensuring that students from all backgrounds and degree programmes are encouraged to join and contribute to the wealth of diversity of innovative MedTech concepts the event produces, as well as engaging them with the process of and skills essential for MedTech entrepreneurship.

As a Nutrition and Medical Sciences student, I'm passionate about MedTech and using it to impact society. Having worked in a health tech startup company in Hong Kong dealing with medical labels and pharmacy systems, I've grown more interested in the field. I've joined several committees as events and publicity in UCL before which would allow me to transfer certain skills to this role. I wish to receive this unique opportunity to liaise with MedTech companies, tasked with taking sponsorship and funding for the community. I would like to use this opportunity to not only link up the society with new companies but also MedTech companies that are making a social impact on our society.
