Since I purchased my “drama follows me” T-shirt from Primark for a whopping £2.50 at the ripe age of 11, I’d say I’m an expert at spotting hidden gems.
My priority is to provide the MDs with affordable, practical and snazzy costumes that complement the shows/sketches. I will also make an extra effort to be sustainable where possible to save our planet – every little helps right?
I will work with you and provide guidance when needs be. We can work together to creatively conjure up ideas – perhaps even brainstorm, create mood boards and sketches. This role will give me that well-needed serotonin boost as I absolutely love clothes (and shopping).
I also would like to utilise this role to also meet as many MDs as possible and build a rapport with you all.

I can wholeheartedly say I am so glad I auditioned
So allow me to give back, allow me this position
Muriel Sirgi
Despite my inability to demonstrate any fashion sense over Zoom, I am really passionate about design and fashion history. I also enjoy crafting and have been making jewellery since I was 13 (so you know I have an eye for accessorising). I would love to be able to work with the cast and directors to make some visually-engaging, fashion-forward costumes.
Amy Hickman
After joining as a fresher this year, I would love to get more involved within the society and I think helping to put together costumes – an integral part of a performance - will be a great opportunity for me to do that. I consider myself a creative person, I love to put outfits together, alter them and try out different artistic styles. I often buy my clothes second hand, so I know how to get a bargain, and know how to work a sewing machine. Alongside this, I am organised and will be able to work well with the other costume designer to create or find outfits that are put together on time and still look great.
In conclusion, vote for me!
William Fay
I really want to do costumes, I'm organised and do everything to a high standard, but I'm also inventive and know how make-or-break a funny costume is to a joke. I will be really dedicated and happy to spend as much time as it takes a to create really high quality costumes.
I work really well in a group, and I'm keen to help out with making costumes this year as well.
Arunthavan Nithianantharajah
The position sounds like fun and would be something I would enjoy as I enjoy being creative and hands on.
