Shaun Tan
Hi, my name is Shaun Tan, and I am running for the position of Treasurer because I have enjoyed being part of the Malaysian Society and I wish to contribute back to it in ways I can.

During my time in the Malaysian Society, I have been involved in the Representative Director Programme 20/21, holding positions of Secretary for Christmas Event 2020 and Treasurer for Senior Ball 2021. I am also part of the Finance and Sponsorship Team for the upcoming MNight 2021. Before my time in UCL, I had the chance to serve in an International Community Project in Cambodia where I handled the financial budgets for the purchase of food and healthcare. In addition, I actively served as Treasurer for my Sports House in High School. I believe that I have developed the necessary skills required over this period that would make me an ideal candidate.

If elected, I would aim to:
1. Ensure society’s funds are being used responsibly, wisely, and appropriately
2. Keep track of expenses by making sure all payments and reimbursements are handled efficiently.
3.Provide advisory support to BODs to ensure that the best financial decisions are made.
4. Improve allocation of financial resources for MSOC events for a better student experience.

Thank you for reading my manifesto.
Salman Said
Hello friend and colleagues, My name is Salman Eudora and I am running for the treasurer position in UCL Malaysian Society. My first manifesto is to revive the events previously held by MSOC. I believe as the number of cases fall and restrictions being slowly lifted , I plan to push for reviving the events previously held by MSOC in stages. I will work hand in hand with the corporate relation director to acquire enough sponsors to organise these events. Secondly, I will also ensure an efficient and inclusive allocation of funds. I plan to Collaborate with other BODs to allocate the funds efficiently in order to maximised the benefits gain by our MSOC members. I believe that the allocation should be a unanimous decision by the BODs and not one particular person to ensure fair and efficient allocation. The allocation should be one that is balanced in effort to strengthen the bond between us. My last manifesto is about Transparency; I plan to present the movement and allocation of funds to the MSOC members in our page. I believe it is crucial to present it to our members in effort to increase confidence to the organisation.
