Shavak Matalia
Hey guys - I’m Shavak and I’m running to be your next Head of Outreach & Relations. My membership over the past year has provided me with a clear vision of the opportunities for improvement.

My central tenet will be to heighten the presence of the Leadership and Management Society within UCL, in a bid to drive up our membership base. I’ll also endeavour to boost collaboration with other UCL and London-based university societies to bolster our opportunities for inviting high-value speakers to our events

Studying economics for my degree and writing for the UCL Economic Tribune has fostered my communication and interpersonal skills. Moreover, I have a keen sense of responsibility, approachability and enthusiasm. Altogether, I am confident these qualities me an excellent fit for this role.

I very much look forward to the prospect of serving you at the society, and implementing my ideas, in the coming term!
Ya-Hsuan Wang
Being a first-year student studying Economics and Statistics, I would like to devote myself to UCL Leadership and Management Society as the Head of Outreach & Relations.

Being an account manager at Uber enterprise, I was allowed to utilise my business analysis skill with the well-presented communication strategies when serving as a project leader in the onshore project in Taiwan. I am excelled in communicating with the clients as well as maintaining the long-term relationship with our external partners.

Furthermore, I am the co-founder and main manager of a student-led volunteering project called UCLef. It is crucial for me creating new partnerships and maintaining the relationships between the external partnered organisations, connecting and contacting members throughout the academic term, and the improvement and implementation of standard operating strategies in order to progress our organisation steadily.

Overall, I am keen to communicate with teammates and enjoy the sense of accomplishment when completing the tasks with the team. I would like to maintain the excellence of previous partnership but meanwhile innovate and improve them through the functional performance assessment and the brainstorming of the team.

My communication and leadership skills obtained from the previous experience have equipped me for being competent for this role.I would like to commit to the society using my professional knowledge. If you also want to take a leap, please vote for me.
