Anson Law
I know many people might say this, and it might seem cliche, but I really do enjoy volunteering, and doing work which would benefit the wider good of our society. I volunteer at home in HK as an English teacher to Chinese schools, where students and parents cannot afford to pay for actual English lessons. I am thrilled to be able to use my knowledge, my charisma, my love for helping to bring benefits to people who would appreciate and need it. If I am lucky enough to be elected as the Volunteering and Welfare Officer, I will do my best to liaise with as many charities and organisations as possible, since so much more can be done to help in these unprecedented situations. Moreover, with a Law background, I understand a lot more about pro-bono work, and am currently doing a project on it for Access to Justice programmes. Therefore, with my passion and dedication to volunteering and helping, I believe I will be well-suited for this role.
