Eleanor Randall
I am running for the role of Events Officer for the Law for All Society, as I am keen to promote accessibility into the legal sector.
I’ve really enjoyed learning more about the legal sector this year by attending some of the events organised by the Law for All Society. I’m now keen to get stuck in “behind the scenes” and help develop the society to make it even bigger and better.
I know first-hand how to efficiently plan, develop, and deliver events through organising events for a music charity. In this role, I had to cater events for attendees who were a range of ages and abilities and effectively communicate with speakers to ensure the events were appropriate for the attendees. Such experience will help me to carry out my duties as Events Officer efficiently and effectively.
If elected, I will:
- Invite speakers to discuss their route into law, particularly speakers from groups underrepresented in the legal sector (Black, Asian, Ethnic Minority; LGBTQ+; disabled; state school educated; low-income family, etc.)
- Organise events to highlight the legal sector’s breadth by discussing a wide variety of areas of law such as patent law, maritime law, etc.
- Organise regular CV and application advice workshops in the autumn and early spring term.
I will also listen closely to any member’s suggestions, concerns, and ideas and work with the other committee members to ensure the society caters for all our members.

Hi everyone! I’m Karolina and I’m running for the Events Officer position at LfA!
Why me?
I’m an enthusiastic and highly motivated individual with extensive experience in events planning and execution. Not only have I been involved in organisation of multiple in-person charity fundraisers pre-covid, but this year I’ve also had an opportunity to work closely with UCL Guild & UCL FinTech societies as a First-Year Representative to organise conferences, webinars and competitions, as well as moderate online panels, which has given me a great insight into the digital side of events organisation.
As the resources provided by LfA have helped me immensely with my legal applications and solidified my belief that law is the career I wish to pursue, I would love to get a chance to apply the knowledge and skills I have acquired from my experiences this year to bring the next generation of best quality workshops, competitions, application clinics and other initiatives at LfA!
If elected I would aim to focus on bringing more Q&As, case study workshops and networking events with trainee and senior solicitors, law firm briefings (important info on the firms summarised to make your application stand out!), CV & application clinics, mentorships, preparatory virtual mock assessment centres and interviews, commercial awareness and mooting competitions as well as diversifying events to areas of law such as IP, Insurance or Media Law.

Anda-Raluca Epure
As a Mathematics and Economics student, I understand the importance of staying connected to the current issues and trying to anticipate their impact in the future. I believe that, as members of a society, we want to feel part of its community and share its values with the world. Communicative, creative and always opened to new ideas, I enjoy problem-solving activities , but also working with the others in order to achieve a higher goal. Therefore, as Events Officer, I will ensure that all the past initiatives of the society can still take place, virtually or face-to-face, if possible, and I would also look for other creative ways of conducting events given the current situation. I would be ready to start new initiatives and organize our team in order to succeed. Always easy to approach, I will be looking forward to hearing what the members would need and want, in order to shape the events according to their liking. I believe that I will be able to help the society and its members achieve their goals, my making sure that, during the events, they will have the best experience possible. Finally, I hope that we will grow together, both professionally and personally.
Michael Clayton-Jolly
As an events officer, I will bring years of experience in managing events and a dedication to a legal career and the Law for All society to deliver more degree-specific events in addition to the society’s already outstanding programme on offer.
I organised my school’s first moot a few years ago, through which I learned how to manage successful events at all stages, from planning and working with external visitors to delivering the event itself. I was then appointed to my school’s politics society, organising weekly speaker events with prominent politicians and academics, further developing my event management skills. I am also a good fit for this society given my dedication to a legal career, recently winning the UCL-KCL intervarsity moot for UCL.
If elected as an events officer, I will work closely with degree and faculty-based societies to deliver regular events on entering a legal career from specific subject areas, such as law for engineers events, law for languages graduates etc. This will both enlarge the society and cater to people who have not necessarily considered a legal career before.
To conclude, my experience in managing events, my dedication to a legal career and my plans to expand the society make me the best fit for events officer.

Zoe Boleslawski
I am eager to participate in this society which has nurtured for me a particular interest in legal matters. Even more so as your Events Officer as I believe that it is first and foremost through getting involved personally and meeting people that one can learn about a particular working environment.
As your Events Officer, I will try to implement the following :
- At least one social every two weeks: it is for me just as important to meet fellow society members as well as learning about their own experiences.
- Meetings with alumni able to tell us about their experiences in the workplace, and generally give us an awareness of the skills necessary to pursue a career in the legal sector
- I will follow up on the First-Year Commercial Awareness meeting organised this year by our incredible First-Year Officer
- I will push to organise as many in-person meetings as possible
