Hiiii I´m Lola! I´m a first-year student who looooovess to learn about science-the more interdisciplinary the better! I am also a student at the Barlett School of Architecture at UCL and correspondingly also looooveeee art. Being part of the Kinesis Committee would be an honour- I truly believe this is such an amazing society and when I found out about it I was in awe since it combined two things I love but that aren't usually seen together -art and science. I am looking forward to being more involved in this society. Actually seen something you created out there in the real world is just such an amazing feeling I would like to have more of. Apart from my motivation and my ability to really enjoy working in teams (especially of like-minded individuals who have a common goal and interests in mind!), I believe I am a good fit for the role because of my background in design and my ability to use In-Design, Photoshop, Illustrator, Sketchbook and other sketching and layout-editing apps and programmes.

- Keep a modern, innovative, varied and updated magazine´s look
- Motivate new artists (of all levels) to take part in this amazing project
- Be able to give guidance on programmes, mediums, tutorials and recommendations on how to create the illustrations for the magazine when needed
- Increase the ease of communication between artists and writers
- Hand-ins on time

In the midst of all the global as well as academic challenges thrown at us last year, for me, illustrating for Kinesis Magazine’s issues was always a breath of fresh air and the opportunity to let my creativity flow. I am constantly inspired by the creativity everyone puts into creating articles and artworks, and I would love to take on the role that ensures that people read our magazine and appreciate our hard work. For me, getting officially involved would mean using my eye for detail and continuing creating visually pleasing issues that inspire other students not only to read our articles but to perhaps get involved too. I am studying Arts and Sciences, which thanks to its interdisciplinary nature has taught me how to speak the language of people from different disciplines and backgrounds, a skill useful when facilitating communication between artists and writers. Plus I also speak the language of the Adobe Creative Suite! I even have a little Etsy shop, where I sell some of my illustrations and custom designed desktop organizer wallpapers :)
