This year we have faced many difficulties as a club, both in terms of offering sessions of the quality we wanted and in terms of engagement and forming a community. I believe the next few months will be key in ensuring we not only go back to the activites we used to offer, but also go beyond them to make the club the best it can be. I have been a member of the club and its committee for almost two years and I know the club can be an amazing place if we work to make it into one.
My main concern would be going back to in-person activity in a safe and non-stressful way. This includes training, socials and competitions if the possibility arises. In terms of the next academic year, I aim to offer a wide variety of activities on top of the usual training and socials. This would include cross-training with other clubs at UCL and possibly elsewhere, participating in BUCS and Varsity and participating in Union events such as Pride in Sport Week or sustainability events.
