I would like to run for this position as I am confident in my design and social media abilities. Noticing the welcoming and friendly environment of KPOP soc I would like our dances to reach a larger platform. Despite joining only recently, I believe that I can help KPOP soc behind the scenes by reaching out through online platforms.

Hi! My name is Haziq, and I am running for the role of publicity officer.

I have a great interest in design and visuals. To be honest, I don’t have an expansive experience in graphic designing other than creating simple logos for some of the clubs and societies I have been in. However, I am keen to learn, and I can see myself enjoying the process. I have held several secretarial roles before, and I gained some transferrable skills that will be useful for the role of publicity officer in terms of communication and conveying messages.

If I am elected as the next publicity officer, I will do my best in the upkeep of the society’s presence and appearance across the various platform it is on. In my opinion, we already have a great base in terms of visuals, but that won’t stop me from exploring new ideas on how to publicise the society.

I love K-pop, it has definitely shaped my personality and mentality for the better. It means a lot to me and I am sure for all of us too. I hope that with this humble credential of mine, I will be able to serve all the K-pop lovers in the society.

Vibrant, welcoming and supportive — these are the first few words that come to my mind when I think of Kpop Soc. I am beyond grateful to have made such good friends who I’ve only danced with virtually and am continuously impressed by the opportunities I have been given to try something new, despite the pandemic. As the Publicity Officer next year, I would love to continue generating excitement around the range of opportunities on offer as well as help maximise audience reach and spread well-deserved love for all the hard work that goes behind the scenes in creating high-quality covers.

Having been the Publicity & Design Officer at Dance Society this year and Marketing Officer for Kinesis Magazine the year before, I am not only addicted to creating aesthetic Instagram feeds but also confident in my technical skills and creative vision to excel in this role. I consider myself an enthusiastic, responsible committee member with a genuine passion for publicity work and fostering a friendly environment for students with shared interests. Having also been the Managing Editor for Kinesis Magazine this year, I can bring strong organisation, time-management and communication skills. If to be elected I would love to build on the vibrant image of Kpop Soc and add my own illustrative twist to emphasise a personal touch. I would also like to capitalise on the interactive features on Instagram to facilitate two-way communication between the committee and the rest of the society.

Hi! I'm Priscilla, a first-year law student! My current bias is Moonbyul from Mamamoo, and I (currently) stan (G)-idle, BTS and Mamamoo. I really enjoy all the activities this society has to offer and have taken part in quite a few activities this year, from dance classes to leading a vocal cover. It would be an honour for me to have this role, as I believe that this society has been so fun, and I hope I can contribute to make it even better.
