As Events Coordinator, my number one priority would be to deliver events that are fun, engaging and accessible to K-POP society members in all parts of the world! I would do this by taking into account the different timezones and holding different events (including dance classes) at varying times of the day so that no one would have to miss out on any fun. I will also make sure to coordinate with the other committee members in putting up monthly polls and sending out surveys to gather your ideas for any events that you'd like to see: because your opinions are the most valuable ingredient to a successful event. Alongside holding events, because of everything being currently online, I believe that cultivating a friendly community would be beneficial for everyone – and I plan to do this by revamping the Discord server so that everyone can interact with one another comfortably and quickly! I strive to make events that leave a positive impression on all attendees, and events that will let you create your own beautiful memories to cherish during and after your university experience.

I am very enthusiastic as both a team player and leader, always open to new ideas for events, and organisationally adept. I believe these qualities, alongside my cheerful personality, make me just the right Events Coordinator for you!

In my first year at UCL, the K-pop Society played a key role in my settling in. Especially with the current pandemic, this society has helped me to make friends and feel part of UCL as a whole. That is the reason I want to be part of this committee and be the events coordinator - to bring people together and help friendships flourish, going beyond just dancing. I’d like to organize events and create a happy space where students can truly enjoy and express themselves. I believe the events coordinator would be the best role for me also due to my skill set. As a Psychology Student Representative, I have strong organizational and communication capabilities – I successfully work with a team and take care of interactions with the cohort and our professors, in addition to create, send out and collect responses from Feedback Forms regularly. Also, I volunteered as an educator in a youth movement for over two years, where I had to organize recreational and educational activities for children every week. I have much to offer to this society and I’d like to have this opportunity to give back as much as it gave to me!
