Dear members of UCL Japan Society,

I’m Paul, a first year law student, and I am running to serve as your treasurer in the committee. COVID-19 has affected the society’s activities and it has been difficult for us to get to know each other well. My aim is to create more opportunities to make the society more lively and engaging in the post-COVID period!

I plan to focus on:
- More (affordable) social events the year ahead and next year to make up for the time lost this year!
- On top of that, lower prices for in-person social events in the future (relative to the previous years).
- Promote more opportunities for both Japanese-speakers and non-Japanese speakers to work and study in Japan.
- To continue our current partnerships with London-based Japanese shops and find more partners willing to offer discounts.

Why should you vote for me?
1. I have excellent communication skills
- Trilingual: English, Chinese and Japanese
- Level 2 Japanese teacher
2. I am responsible and experienced with handling administrative matters.
- Ex-teacher of a high school. I had to constantly maintain reliable records of my students’ progress, collate and make sense of the data from the records.
3. I am efficient, friendly and approachable!
- I usually respond to my messages within one hour after receiving them
- I won’t bite ?

Thank you for reading my manifesto and feel free to contact me at 7395339429 if you have any questions about my proposals! ありがとうございます!:)
