Being an active member of Hindu Society during my first year so far has been one of the highlights of my time here as I have been able to meet new people over zoom socials and football matches despite lockdown.
I believe that I will be able to reach out to new students both at UCL and other London universities encouraging them to come to our events in order to grow the Hindu Society community, integrate new faces and keep the atmosphere open for everyone. Some ideas that I have to grow the society include Hindu Society tours (Goa 2022?) and also kabaddi tournaments. A bigger and newer Holi event is also something I am heavily planning.
I have launched and grown my own TikTok account and YouTube channel to impressive heights, showing my unparalleled charisma and social skills. I will also be able to use this social media experience to manage Hindu Society’s accounts to be as accessible and reach as many new people as possible. With these goals and skills, I believe that I would be a great Hindu Society committee member next year.

At Hsoc we want to bring people together and make life as social as possible, especially after a year of Covid ruining our fun. I believe I'm the right man to be the social secretary this year. Events such as Rangeela club nights and the Cast socials will definitely be a shutdown and I am sure we will all be able to meet lots of new people and make new friends even outside of our society via inter society collaborations.

I think I'd be suited to the role as I am always up for organising something social and I already know how a Covid impacted year at uni can be, so I'll make sure events involve as many people as possible, both freshers and returning students alike, and also keep track of the social media accounts. I'm here to make next year as good as it can be, so vote Vig for good vibes and for an exciting year ahead!

Hi, my name is Janvi and I’m applying to be Hindu Society’s social secretary! I think I would be a great fit for this role because I’m a very outgoing and sociable person and love getting involved in events. Having organised high school prom and several charity fundraisers in the past, I think I have the experience to help plan some incredible events for this year! In particular, the Diwali Ball and Rangeela are some of the best highlights of Hindu Soc and given that we missed out last year, I think it’s time to make them bigger and better than ever before and I would love to be the person that can make this happen! Something else I hope to bring to the table, is helping connect with other Hindu societies and getting us involved in as many inter university competitions and maybe even joint Garba and Holi celebrations. As social secretary my main goal would be to organise a whole range of events that really cater for everyone and use them to help us meet some great friends and make some unforgettable memories!
