Shrish Poddar
Hi, my name is Shrish I’m from Scotland and I am a first year economics student. The role of Executive Director is the ideal role for me with my prior experience working in a dynamic role in a multinational firm. I have worked closely with the marketing department and have helped develop marketing strategy from helping design websites to enhancing social media presence. Furthermore, having the role of an Account Executive meant that I was able to gain experience in managing finances and budgeting operations. This allows me to provide sound advice to the President and Treasurer assisting in managing the events and operations of the society. Innovation is at the core of my personality; and I am always looking to come up with new ideas that will improve the experience of those a part of the society and look at ways to attract others. My attention to detail and organisational skills mean I ensure that I will oversee and manage events efficiently and make sure everyone enjoys their time being a part of such a cultural society. I’m looking forward to being larger part of the society and I appreciate your vote!
Vedanth Kommaraju
Hi! I'm Vedanth, I'm a first-year econ student and I'll be running for Executive Director. While this year hasn't been the first year any of us expected or deserved, I'm committed to turn that around this September! My aim is to make Hindu Soc the one stop shop for all your SPORT, ACADEMIC and most importantly SOCIAL needs. My promise to you is to make our events such as D-ball and Rangeela the biggest and craziest they've ever been, as well as extending the sense of community and solid friendships our HSOC families provide through more frequent chill nights. Having been part of the committee as an FYR this year, I've gained an inside understanding of how events are run and the amount of organisation and commitment the role requires. I am genuinely dedicated to continue this legacy and I truly believe that next year is going to be one for the history books! Vote Vedz :)
