Hi everyone, I’m Giulia, and I’m running for President of Her Campus! Having joined HC this year, I deeply admire the community and its empowerment of young women’s voices. Last year’s Editors in Chiefs established HC as a UCL society and nurtured an online community of passionate women. This year, I would:
- Promote the society’s growth in its early stages! To expand our outreach, I will increase social media communications by introducing larger marketing & social media sub-committees, to promote our readership and online presence, and raise awareness of our society and its opportunities!
- Increase collaborative activities with other UCL societies, and with the diverse community of Her Campus. With over 400 campus chapters, I aim to make use of its global reach, through joint social events and collaborative articles.
- If in-person interactions resume, I would implement new social strategies to strengthen our community spirit and connect with new students. Based on government guidelines, in-person recruitment through a physical marketing campaign will also strengthen our on-campus presence!

As a Comp. Lit. student, I’ve always sought the communication of experiences. I interned on a documentary portraying Germany’s pioneering female politicians, and worked in the Digital News unit of Deutsche Welle, promoting youth access to knowledge and culture globally. This has equipped me with organization, communication and interpersonal skills to achieve my goals in this role!
