Karolina Gawin
Hi everyone! I’m Karolina and I am standing to be your next Welfare Officer at UCL Guild!

Why choose me?

I am an enthusiastic, approachable and highly motivated individual, currently holding the role of a First-Year Representative at the UCL Guild. As a Welfare Officer, I would aim to ensure that our society offers a range of initiatives that foster a welcoming and inclusive environment, as well as to be the first point of contact for UCL Guild members in need of accessing the UCL wellbeing services.

If elected I promise to focus on:

• Introducing weekly posts with resources and tips on how to look after your mental health while at university/during application season.
• Collecting the feedback, ideas and concerns that our members may have regarding the events and opportunities at the UCL Guild through regular surveys.
• Ensuring diversity and inclusion in all aspects of our events and initiatives.
• Organising monthly socials to foster relationship building between the members of UCL Guild.
• Collaborating with student societies at UCL and nationwide on fundraising initiatives and events supporting organisations focused on mental and physical wellbeing, as well as diversity & inclusion.
• Providing wellbeing resources and introductory events aimed at freshers to help ease the transition to university and introduce them to the opportunities at UCL Guild.

I really look forward to helping you get the best out of this year at UCL Guild!

Karolina
