Marta Sadlej
Hi everyone!

I am Marta, a Biomedical Sciences student with an interest in the applications of new technologies in life sciences. I will be starting my second year of studies in September.

Only in the last month, I was involved in running the LSS's meeting with the Nobel Laureate Robert Lefkowitz, as well as the UCL SciCon's Pizza&PhD event. As always, a large part of that work was advertising the events, which I believe I am quite experienced at.

My interests include many areas of sciences. My work with molecular dynamics and quantum modelling during the ongoing gap year gave me great insight into the field of bioinformatics. During the last summer, I completed an internship in a stem cells lab, where I was exploring the exciting field of regenerative medicine. Our project of updateable immunity passports has won second place on "COVID Challenge", a hackathon organised in April.

I firmly believe in the power of networking and want as many people as possible to discover the great events of the UCL Guild. As the Head of Marketing, I would make sure that the society's work is visible all over social media and on the campus.

Vote for me!

Marketing has always been my passion. My internship in PR and my experience of directing several student brand consultancy projects have allowed me to accumulate crucial skill sets required by this position- from technical skills like graphic design and copywriting to leadership skills like communication and team management. Working as a marketing executive in UCL Guild this year has been one of my fondest memories in my university life - I have honed my marketing skills first hand from creating promotional materials, rebranding the society's visual identity, and to ensure marketing style consistency. Most importantly, I got to be part of an inspiring community to spread not only career opportunities, but also its optimism, resilience, and ambition to other students. This is why I would want to contribute my best to see this society grow in the 2021/22 academic year by working as the Head of Marketing. If I were to be elected, my main priorities would be to make sure all Guild opportunities get as much exposure as possible through working closely with other divisions and affiliate societies, expand the current marketing medium and platforms, and above all, increase UCL Guild’s outreach to an even wider range of students of all backgrounds.
