Hi, my name is Larissa, I am a second-year law student from Germany and I want to contribute to your society as Director of Sponsorship.

I joined the German Society in my first year and found that being a member provides one with an excellent opportunity to make new connections and gain valuable insights, but also just to have a good time. I want you to have the same experience next year and therefore, would like to contribute to the society's work with creativity and previous experience in society leadership.

As Treasurer of ELSA UCL, I have already gained a broad understanding of the functioning of a society and its internal procedures. I am familiar with the tasks and responsibilities of all board members, but most importantly, gained thorough insights into external relations strategy and experience in the negotiation of partnerships and communication with sponsors. Therefore, I am well-equipped for the role of the Sponsorship Director.

At my part-job and in my role as logistics manager for the UCL Africa Conference, I acquired extensive communication and organization skills. Having worked for societies next to my studies before, I know how to manage my time well. So. I will be able to fully commit to my tasks and ensure that you have a great experience.

I am excited to meet you all personally in the next academic year, so that we can make the best of our time at UCL together.
Maximilian Straesser
Why Me?
I have previous experience communicating with sponsors and brands, both at a society and professional level. During my time in these roles I
had the opportunity to:
Develop my understanding of how to expand and market societies to corporations to the mutual benefit of both

Enhance my communication skills to ensure a successful and prosperous relationship between the two entities

My Vision
Continue to increase the visibility of UCL German Society as a professionally oriented networking society, as well as a social soc. Be prepared
for more sponsors, as well as more sponsor-led events such as workshops, talks and Q&A with leading professionals in German industries.

Increase UCL German Society member involvement. I plan to achieve this through activities such as:
Competitions
German-themed outings
Inter-university challenges

Introduce weekly insight reports on all things German, summarising key developments in German culture, politics and business.
