Hello! I’m John and I’m running for VP (Research) this AGM! As an ESG correspondent currently writing for the Fintech Review (FTR), I’ve seen the publication go from strength to strength in its broadening of content and online expansion. Nonetheless, I’m looking to take the FTR even further through the following focus areas:

- Collaboration: tightening connections between the Client Relations and Marketing departments, so we can source interview content from more industry leaders and therefore produce a wider spectrum of career-guidance pieces. I’m also looking to pair with other student publications (i.e. Tharsos) to produce inter-disciplinary content in their fields of specialisation

- Streamlining: enhancing our editorial teams to bolster our processing efficiency

- Outreach: we’ve got a great newsroom covering a large variety of Fintech topics, but more people could read our articles! Social media marketing will be a top priority so we can get our content out to more students

I’m no stranger to heading content production teams myself, having founded and directed an investing social media page last year.

If 2020 was about scaling the FTR, then 2021 will be a season of polishing UCL’s foremost source of Fintech news into a well-oiled machine. I’m excited to take up this mantle and would very much appreciate your support!
