Being a Marketing First-Year Representative and learning from our current team and committee inspired me to continue and increase the recognition of the FinTech Society.

The Covid pandemic prevented us from networking with fellow students and also, with professionals. Thus, as Marketing Vice-President I would expand the strategy so the FinTech Society can get recognised by students and by companies and organisations as well. I will focus on reaching out to a wider circle of students by creating a community where they feel welcome to interact with one another. Creating a consistent and aesthetic social media feed with interactive elements would be the first step in the process.

I would also ensure that all platforms have fresh and interesting content that is updated regularly so members could communicate with each other while exploring the current news and happenings in the FinTech world by maintaining a closer relationship with the Finance & Technology Review. Updating and actively managing the official website of the society would be another project I would undertake, which would be achieved with constant and effective communication with all divisions in the FinTech Society.

Efficient Marketing would create opportunities for all members to meet new people and learn about FinTech together. Let’s work together to expand the biggest FinTech community in Europe, the UCL FinTech Society.
