Alice Bennett
Hi all, I’m Alice and I’m delighted to be running for VP of Client Relations. As a current FinTech Client Relations Executive, I have good knowledge of what the role entails and believe that all of my key skills compliment this.

Having worked in a heavily client-facing consulting role at Accenture for 8 months, I’ve developed strong relations with corporate clients and also developed my network. I hope to use these skills to engage with potential sponsors, to develop partnerships that benefit both parties.

I intend on taking a proactive, personalised approach to reaching out to new (and current) sponsors, leveraging the knowledge I have gained from my role this year to receive maximum responses. As learnt from previous years, it’s crucial to reach out for sponsorships as early as possible, so I have already prepared sponsorship materials and begun networking with both HR and FinTech enthusiasts in larger firms and start-ups.

My goal is to further diversify the FinTech society’s clients, which will not only increase the recognition of our society beyond UCL, but will also enable us to host a wider range of events & initiatives and provide students with a more well-rounded insight into this up-and-coming industry.
Raisa Zulqaisar
My name is Raisa Zulqaisar and I am running to be your Client Relations Vice President. Over the years, I developed leadership skills through my appointment as a student leader, and my involvement in extra-curricular activities in the past, reflecting my commitment towards the responsibilities I carry. I've worked closely with the head of school and presented to members of staff and the entire school multiple times. This has honed my public speaking ability, providing me with the fundamental skills to pitch my ideas to a large audience. Hence, I believe I'd be a good asset to the society, especially when acquiring potential clients. Additionally, I took part in MUN where I was able to build on my self-confidence, following the immense amount of time spent on researching and discussing with others. This experience taught me the importance of critical thinking and conducting effective planning and research. This would help me further particularly when looking out for startups and other companies for the society’s future projects. My work experience with an investment bank in Malaysia provided me with the foundation to understand what firms are looking for from us. If elected, I am determined to give the members of the society a say as to what companies they prefer to get in touch with. It is wise to also cater our society’s goals to the student body's interests. Thus, students are more keen to attend the events we house and can gain more from these opportunities. Thank you!

With the responsibility of managing Client Relations, I hope to expand the relationships with existing partners and sponsors but also proactively establish new ones to provide an ever-increasing number of resources and opportunities to our members. I aim to bring together students from many different backgrounds through organising new initiatives alongside the annual caste study workshops and conferences. Participating in Shadowing Women in Tech, an event collaboration between two societies, I have benefitted from gaining new technical knowledge and deeper insight into start-ups alongside their recruitment process. Hence, I personally understand the importance of having a variety of programmes and partnering with a range of societies to ensure members have access to a range of events to hear from a diverse point of view. My experience as a student representative for 7 months has developed my communication and organisational skills that will assist me when working with existing and potential sponsors to deliver an increased number of interactive and networking events for the FinTech society. I’m keen to play an active role in organising events, scouting sponsors and overall ensure our members gain a deeper insight into the integration of finance and technology. Thank you for reading and feel free to contact me for further development.
