Hi there! I’m HD and I am running for the role of Projects Officer! I am a Mechanical Engineering Student who loves being involved with extracurricular activities! My motivation to run for committee for EwB stems from my desire to positively impact people’s lives - one of the main reasons I aspire to become an engineer. I believe that engineering is such a powerful tool and using it to help people is one of the most fulfilling things in the world. Hence, as your projects officer, I am to bring you:
- Amazing short-term and long-term projects in collaboration with exciting partners.
- Reach out to industry and NGOs to establish links and connections, bringing you exclusive opportunities.
- Improve the society’s activities in bringing you tailored opportunities by listening to our most important asset - you!
As President and Treasurer of two societies in 2020/21, I have extensive experience in managing projects from an administrative perspective, organising events online and in-person throughout this year. I have also had to deal with requests from the Union, manage guest speakers and liaise with partners to make our projects a reality. I also have spent this year as an outreach and events executive at another two societies, spending my time securing speakers and funding for events in Term 1 and 2. I would love to bring my experience on board here at UCL EwB to bring you all a fulfilling and inspiring 2021/22! Thank you for reading!
