Dementia Research Society: Treasurer

Hi! My name is Gaby and I am running for a position as Treasurer for Dementia Research Society. Having been exposed to the topic of dementia and general memory loss in my BSc Psychology course, I have developed great interest in working together with people who are also committed to broadening our knowledge in the subject.

My previous experiences in social enterprises and NGOs have helped me to gain the skills needed in working with a limited budget, as well as thoroughly managing expenses. Furthermore, I am now completing an internship in a bank - which allows me to acquire knowledge in providing financial information needed to secure the funds in our organisation.

As Treasurer, I will do my best to utilise these skills to manage the financial affairs in the society. I believe this will allow our organisation to open up to more opportunities and eventually, play a part in helping those who struggle with dementia.
