Hello! I’m Hazel, a second-year Psych student, and I am running to be your Blooms Producer.
I really enjoyed being part of the Committee this year - getting to know people in the society and contributing to the many events and initiatives. Hence, I am eager to continue being involved. Blooms is THE biggest show of DanceSoc every year, and I think there is no better role if I want to leave a mark and do something meaningful in my last year at UCL.
I believe some of my experiences put me in a good position for this role.
Being competitions coordinator gave me some insight into the operations behind the scenes in the society. I also had to deal with various stakeholders associated with the society, both internal and external, which further honed my communication skills and taught me how to work with everyone to achieve our common goals.
Additionally, I have produced a dance show previously, and hence am confident in dealing with the many administrative and operational aspects.
These experiences helped me develop skills such as adaptability, allowing me to remain flexible in meeting everybody’s needs as London’s situation continually changes. Managing various dance pieces also gave me exposure to choreographing, equipping me to deal with creative challenges as part of the role.

Vislesha Vinjamuri
Hi! I’m Viv and I’m running to be your Blooms Producer.
Being a part of Dance Soc, and getting involved in workshops and the Showcase has been a highlight of this year, and has helped me meet so many amazing people, which is one of my biggest reasons for running!
Being a gymnastics coach for 4 years and a part of the TranscenDance Production Team this year have given me the skills required for this role.
As a gymnastics coach, I have helped to put on several showcases with over 200 gymnasts participating - this has given me experience in running full cast rehearsals and the organisational aspect of venues and managing finances.
Being a part of the TD production team this year has given me experience in working with a prod team within Dance Society and the way that works as well as experience working with different members of the committee to deliver the project. Different parts of organising TD involved working with members such as the Treasurer and President as well as getting the opinions of several other members of committee, giving me a good idea of how the committee works. Whilst organising TD I have also managed the financial aspect, sending out invoice request forms to universities, and keeping detailed accounts of necessary payments.
As Blooms Producer, I would aim to uphold the professionalism associated with the event as well as getting as many members of Dance Society involved as possible, keeping the event as exciting as it is every year!
