Thomas Robinson

Hi, my name is Tom Robinson, and I am currently a second-year student running for the Vice President role.

Throughout my two years at UCL, I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the cricket society, and the society has grown to become an important part of my university experience. I have acted as the social sec this year, hosting virtual socials every week with Ronan, providing the members of our club with an opportunity to stay in touch with each other throughout this difficult year, and hopefully enjoy themselves too. Moving into my third year, I would like to take a more active role in running the society as vice-president.

Being vice-president requires a combination of organisational, creative, and leadership skills, all of which I would like to think I possess. I have held senior positions in several different committees in the past and hope to have displayed and developed these skills during these experiences. These positions include being Head Boy and Chairman of the Charities Committee at school, and running my own independent charity named Crikit Ltd. I would hope these experiences would stand me in good stead to perform the role of vice-president effectively. I would also like to think I have showed the commitment required to conduct this role, by frequently attending socials throughout my first year, and taking an active role in socials and training throughout this year.

Abhiram Sasitharan
Over the past year, I've really enjoyed being a part of the cricket club as the secretary. I would like to run for Vice President to continue contributing towards the society and take the society to greater heights. Many of us have missed out on playing cricket due to Covid-19, my main goal as Vice President would be to provide our members with plenty of opportunities to play.

As Vice President, I would increase the number of net sessions per week and implement a fair schedule so that everyone has the opportunity to attend a session. I would also like to organize fun monthly six-a-side tournaments, with prizes sponsored by the society. On the social side of things, I would like to organize weekly socials alongside our usual nights at loop. I'm really looking forward to a packed schedule of cricket next season.
