Following on from what I hope to be a very successful season for RUMSCC as the club captain, I would love to represent and oversee the running of the club if I was elected to be your President. We are a cricket club and I want this mentality to resonate through every member whether they are a fresher, beginner or a seasoned, senior member of the club.

Further to the beginner sessions that I began this year, I want to make it part of the club that everyone has a chance to play the sport that we all love regardless of their ability prior to joining.

I hope to work in tandem with the rest of the committee to ensure that the year going forward is as smooth as possible for everyone. By bringing all the different aspects of the club together whether that be sport, social, education or welfare, I hope to create even more of a community feel. I want to make sure that every time a team goes out representing the club, they know that they are playing for something bigger than themselves and that they have a full society of people supporting them.

Hi everyone,

I've absolutely loved my three years in the cricket club and am passionate to replicate this experience for current and future members of the CC. I've now been on committee for 2 years as social sec and treasurer and have been incredibly committed and involved with the cricketing, social and academic sides of the club, with my track record including organisation of tours to Newcastle and Devon; all of the cricket that has been played at Westway and Waterloo Wolf Turf this year; the charity relay in the summer that raised £769; socials; tutorials and more.

As your president I would love to provide more cricketing opportunities to beginners, casual players and first team alike, as well as maximise the vibrant social calendar the club offers through drinking and non drinking events and tour. Inclusivity is enormously important to me and I hope to make everyone in this ever growing club feel extremely welcome and as passionate as I am.

I look forward to seeing everyone in AGM,
Big love,
Hugo
