Nice to meet you all. I am a first-year student from the Division of Psychology and Language Sciences. Consulting has been an interest of mine and an industry I wish to pursue as a career. Utilising knowledge from my degree, I believe I am a good fit for the role.
In my opinion, both welfare within the society and the well-being of our members are equally important. Therefore, in addition to ensuring that our society is abiding by the Student Union’s rules, I will take the following actions if I am elected:
⁃ Create a Google form where members can submit any questions, which will be answered by the relevant division
⁃ Conduct sessions to introduce well-being measures used in consulting firms
⁃ Organise social connection events where members get to know each other better and develop a stronger sense of belonging to our society
⁃ Have a monthly well-being session for members to experience mindfulness and reduce stress
I believe these initiatives will contribute to building a better, more wholesome society. Consulting Society will not only be one where you can learn first-hand and meet speakers of well-known firms, but more importantly, it will bring us like-minded people together.
