Julius Metrikis
Hi, I am Julius! I have been a member of the Consulting Society for a year now and am really happy with the resources and opportunities it provided me. I would like to join as a VP of Client Projects next year, so I continue the great work on this impactful student-led society. My previous experience is closely aligned with the position, and I am sure I can succeed in bringing new projects by using my existing network. Here is why:

Previously, I have worked in a digital marketing company, Numberly, where I was sourcing and consulting the TOP 50 largest companies in Germany, Netherlands and Belgium. Over the course of 6 months, I met with CXOs, Marketing, Product, and Innovation teams of great companies such as L'Oréal, KLM, FedEx, Schneider Electric, FlixBus, and got to understand their struggles and vision. However, more importantly, I learned how to represent my company in a professional standard and manage projects on their behalf.

More recently, I joined Almost Founders, where I am connecting start-up founders with like-minded individuals so they can pool their knowledge and resources in a safe environment. Through this, I am familiar with the start-up environment in the UK and hope to connect fellow Consulting Society members with new, disruptive companies, often founded by UCL alumni.
Alexander Mearns
My name is Alec Mearns. My mission is to deliver to you the most engaging and dynamic client projects as student consultants if elected your Client Projects VP. Big first claim – I know. Here’s how I will make that happen. I co-founded my first nonprofit and social entrepreneurship venture my second year of high school at age 15. I have grown intimately familiar with all aspects of the start-up process from assembling a goal-oriented team, to pitching to prospective investors, to working tirelessly to bring on new partners to grow my organization. My time as Client Projects VP would be no different. I’ve already started building relations with companies at events such as the London Start-up Fair and Seedery Summit 2021. I will continue to build these networks to source the most exciting, hands-on projects that our members are after. I will leverage the breadth of experience I have in building extensive client lists for my own private tennis coaching business and in onboarding new partners to grow my nonprofit organization. I will grow this society. As your elected committee member, your input will guide my work in cultivating these partnerships. This collaboration will allow me to provide the practical experience you really want while delivering a tangible impact beyond UCL. Just as I worked with my team to secure a second-place finish in the MBB101 case competition earlier this year, we will work together to secure the Consulting Society in its place as UCL’s top society.
Raisa Zulqaisar
My name is Raisa Zulqaisar and I am running to be your Client Projects Vice President. Over the years, I developed leadership skills through my appointment as a student leader, and my involvement in extra-curricular activities in the past, reflecting my commitment towards the responsibilities I carry. I've worked closely with the head of school and presented to members of staff and the entire school multiple times. This has honed my public speaking ability, providing me with the fundamental skills to pitch my ideas to a large audience. Hence, I believe I'd be a good asset to the society, especially when acquiring potential clients. Additionally, I took part in MUN where I was able to build on my self-confidence, following the immense amount of time spent on researching and discussing with others. This experience taught me the importance of critical thinking and conducting effective planning and research. This would help me further particularly when looking out for startups and other companies for the society’s future projects. My work experience with an investment bank in Malaysia provided me with the foundation to understand what firms are looking for from us. If elected, I am determined to give the members of the society a say as to what companies they prefer to get in touch with. It is wise to also cater our society’s goals to the student body's interests. Thus, students are more keen to attend the events we house and can gain more from these opportunities. Thank you!
Lili Lantos
In my first years at university, I was eager to try out multiple industries within consulting, and to get real-life experience while working with other students. I hope that in this position, I can provide this opportunity to the next generation of society members.

As the society grows, we will need to cater your interests, and also prepare you for future internships through student projects. The previous leadership has done an amazing job in bringing many client projects to the students, which I would do my best to continue. My goal in this role would be to ensure
- diverse client and project portfolio,
- the best matching for students for positions and sectors,
- get as many curious and determined members to these projects as possible.
A successful year would mean that you improved relevant skills and industry awareness through being engaged with a project of your choice, had the ability to form strong bonds with other students in your team and feel prepared for the application process.

I would be confident in this role given my background in both private and public sector consulting in technology, social impact, sustainability and digital projects; experience with client liaison, strong organisation and communication skills; and ambition for the society’s future.

I hope to see you next September, and that we will have the chance to work together at some point!
