Hi! I’m Lydia, a BASc student majoring in environment, and I’m running to be your Vice President.
Serving as the Outreach Director for the past two terms, I have a clear understanding of CAS’s values and have been amazed by the passion of our members to make a real difference. Yet, it has been challenging to evoke true action due to the disconnecting experience since the pandemic. This fuelled my desire to enhance the accessibility for all who want to voice their vision, and that CAS can be a true enrichment suiting your needs and interests.
As the Vice President, I aim to:
Increase engagement opportunities for all members regardless of experience.
Ensure term goals are clearly set out and met in a timely manner.
Create activities to directly hear from current leaders in climate action to support you in your contributions to climate action.
Represent your voice, ensure you can get involved with / start your own projects you are passionate about.
Foster a strong network within CAS and with outside organisations.
From participating at the Mock UN Climate Change Conference, to organising the Week of Sustainability in Switzerland, I have extensive knowledge in working with climate change bodies, and have gained leadership experiences through my current position as well as the Inclusion Officer role in other societies. With your vote, I hope to continue delivering valuable contributions to CAS with my passion for the climate and enthusiasm for CAS’ inspiring community.
