Jonathan Thorne
I am running for the position of CU Worship officer, because I believe worship plays such an important role in reaching those who don’t yet know Christ. It helps us fix our eyes back on the cross and reminds us the real reason why we’re here - to see God’s kingdom come on campus.

Since summer last year, I have been leading worship at my church here in London as well as at CU Central. Before that, I spent a gap-year working as a worship intern at a church in Brighton, regularly playing on Sundays and mid-week meetings, as well as helping to organise events and band practices.

The reason I say all of this, is that I have a real passion for worship. Not just for music, but for helping people lay aside their burdens at the cross and grow in their love for God. If appointed, I would love to continue growing a culture of worship within the CU, both among individuals and the society as a whole. By doing so, I hope to play a part in seeing the CU reach our university.
